With a tubular die-cast positive grid, the SMG battery series is designed for applications where performance and operating conditions are crucial. They are maintenance-free and incorporate the advantages of a gelled electrolyte, which gives them a longer life and the capacity to work over a broad temperature range. The SMG range consists of 2V cells and adheres to worldwide OPZV and DIN 40744 standards. They are designed to give a high level of durability for applications in which charge-discharge cycles require the highest levels of dependability. Separators have extraordinarily high porosity; this enables them for intense cyclic use, and an ABS flame retardant casing, rated to UL94 V0 with LOI > 28%, is available upon request. The range is maintenance-free and has a low self-discharge, making the battery a great option for storage periods or off-float charging. The SMG 2V range can be put horizontally in dedicated racks, saving critical installation space and is environmentally friendly, with all components being entirely recyclable at the end of their useful lives.
