In April 2020, Secure Power Ltd carried out a UPS installation for the Outwood Grange Academies Trust in association with Ninehundred Communications Group Ltd.
The project involved the removal of the existing aging UPS units that were currently supporting the Academy’s servers, IT and networking equipment and replacing these with 60 Riello Sentinel Dual 5kVA UPS, complete with Sentinel Dual Battery Expansion Packs and Netman 204 network cards.
The Solution
Secure Power’s team of highly skilled engineers decommissioned the old units and then installed and commissioned the new UPS system within eight weeks of the initial order. As the company has a waste removal license, they were able to remove and dispose of all the outgoing equipment in line with Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling guidelines.
To further support the installation Secure Power also provided an initial 1-year Gold level maintenance package. This has subsequently been renewed each year since the end of the initial contract and includes the following elements:
