The SLA series is the cornerstone of the FIAMM line of AGM VRLA batteries and is intended for applications requiring the highest level of dependability and safety. The series is ideal for mission-critical applications because of its reliability and compliance with the highest internationally recognised standards. To meet long-life requirements, a special lead-calcium tin alloy thick grid was developed, and flame retardant ABS plastic to UL94 V0 (LOI greater than 28 percent) provides the highest level of safety.
The design incorporates tried-and-tested VRLA technology with a 99 per cent internal recombination efficiency, is non-spillable and maintenance-free, and thus does not require electrolyte replenishment throughout its lifetime. The SLA collection is completely recyclable and non-hazardous for air, sea, rail, and road transport. The design is optimised to restrict self-discharge, ensuring a lengthy shelf life.
