The Master MPS series offers optimal power quality and protection for mission-critical loads, such as data centres, industrial processes, telecommunications, security, and electro-medical equipment. The UPS offers online double-conversion technology (VFI SS 111-IEC EN 62040-3) and an isolated transformer inverter. The range comprises versions with three-phase input and single-phase output from 10 to 100 kVA, as well as versions with three-phase input and output from 10 to 200 kVA.
All variants include a thyristor-based 6-pulse rectifier, with or without optional harmonic filters. On request, a 12-pulse thyristor-based rectifier is available for the 60 kVA and 80 kVA models, with or without optional harmonic filters.
Powering the UPS from generator sets and MT/BT transformers is easier and more efficient by minimising power loss in the system and coils, correcting the power factor, and eliminating current harmonics caused by the UPS-supplied loads. In addition, the gradual rectifier startup (power walk-in) and the ability to limit battery charging currents reduce the input current consumption. This lowers the load on the source, which is especially helpful if the source is a generator set.
