Surge Protection vs. UPS: What’s the Difference?
A UPS and a surge protector both offer power protection, but they serve different purposes:
- Surge Protector: Shields devices from high-voltage spikes but does not provide backup power.
- UPS: Protects against power failures, voltage fluctuations, and provides temporary backup power.
- For full protection, a surge protector should be used alongside a UPS to prevent damage from electrical spikes.
